Modavie - E Montreal

Last night, our party of 12 dined at Modavie as part of Happening Gourmand. I have been a patron of this restaurant for 9 years and they never disappoint. The food is consistently excellent, but it's not just the cuisine that stands out. The ambiance sets a wonderful mood, the live music is fantastic, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a great experience. We enjoyed delicious calamari and a generous charcuterie platter with ham, sausage, and pate. My salmon gravlax was simple yet delicious, and the rack of lamb was cooked to perfection. A night at Modavie is more than just a meal - it's an experience with top-notch food, live jazz/blues music, and exceptional service that keeps you coming back. Huge thanks to Lorenzo and his amazing team.

I discovered this restaurant through the 'find me gluten free' app and was pleased to find a great selection of gluten-free options. My girlfriend and I went for dinner at 8:30 and experienced a wait until 10:00, so I recommend making a reservation due to the popularity of this place. The next day, I visited with my family for lunch and we had a great experience. The atmosphere was inviting, everything looked nice, the waitress was friendly, and the Maitre D, Lorenzo, was fantastic. He connected with us, cracked jokes, and engaged in conversation. The food presentation was appetizing and tasted delicious. The prices and portion sizes were on par with other restaurants in the area. I would definitely revisit if I find myself in Canada again.

Bistro Madive..Bar A Vin is a stunning restaurant with wonderful staff! We arrived early for our online reservation, but Lorenzo, the Maitre d'hôtel, was accommodating and found us a table without any issues. It was my birthday weekend, and after a delicious meal, I was treated to a delightful dessert and port wine. The service was top-notch, the decor was beautiful, and the meal was unforgettable. Thank you for making my special day so fantastic!

My Husband and I visited the restaurant for the first time on Friday past. We are from Labrador, and my husband looked up a place to take me on date night while in Montreal! So glad he found this beautiful place, in georgous old Montreal. The service was amazing, food was top notch and atmosphere quite something to take in. The jazz entertainment were so talented and just added to the grand atmosphere. We will for sure be back again. First time here and it was a pleasant experience. Our server was kind, welcoming and provided helpful information regarding the menu. They specialize in lamb so my partner and I ordered the lamb chops. They were extremely fragrant, flavourful and cooked perfectly. The vegetables that came with it were a little underwhelming. Although the lamb chops were delicious, I honestly preferred the entrees: fried calamari, escargots and bone marrow. Overall, worth a try! The cozy-intimate ambiance is a plus.
