Absolutely Mario - East Farmingdale

Have you ever gone someplace you have never been before, walked in and realized that you feel like you're home? That is the feeling you will get when you walk into this old style Italian restaurant and admire the woodwork and decor. Having been there for over 18 years, Absolutely Mario was absolutely fabulous! Mario was warm and engaging, easy to talk to, friendly and welcoming. Sam was our server and she was perfect, friendly and again easy to talk to and definitely top tier in the service industry. The food, OMG the food! I'm Italian and I have not eaten this well in quite some time. If you are traveling to Long island, like Italian food and want a supreme gustatory experience, Absolutely Mario should absolutely be on your list of places to eat. Don't forget to try and save room for the creme brulee but with the portion sizes, that will be quite hard to do. Went with my family to this restaurant after visiting the nearby cemetery. The Brunch Bellini was sub par. I ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and was actually served some pieces that were raw! My sister ordered the same and also received raw chicken. In addition, the Caesar dressing was not tasty. Coffee and dessert were fine, and the appetizer calamari was very good, but I was left with an overall poor impression. Would not recommend. Took my Dad out for his 94th birthday, head a great dinner. We had Cesar salad and baked clams for appetizers which were delicious! Then I had the chicken franchise, my husband had the chicken semifredo with fresh tomato and cheese on top, and my Dad had the broiled salmon. We were all very pleased with our entrees! We finished off the night with cappuccino and a chocolate tartuffo! It was a great night! ??

We can't say enough about the choice of awesome. absolutely mario to keep our wedding reception/luncheon on October 14th 2022! what an awesome, elegant and delicious time we had. mario himself ensured and diago and the rest of the staff could not have been better. eating was delicious and everyone was very tailored to our needs. we were from the city, we interviewed 5 restaurants, 2 never returned our request and mario, himself, reacted to us. the price was correct, pictures of his restaurant look very elegant for the occasion. everything felt good and we made the right decision! thank you. mario and the staff. you couldn't have done anything better! we see them at our next visit to ny!

Tonight was my father in laws 70th birthday and we decided to have dinner here especially since they could accommodate our huge party of 20+ adults and children. From start to finish our servers were always so nice and accommodating with us. We especially loved our server James who was so nice and joked with us. They set it up so we could have group appetizers so everyone could get a taste of everything, the clams were the tastiest and I wish I could have had a whole plateful, and then took our entree orders. The entrees they served were not only massive but so delicious. The baked sole fish with shrimp was some of the best fish ive ever had. The desserts were also a nice finish to the night and the owner came and offered us complimentary liquors to finish what a amazing night it was. I would absolutely come back again and I hope I get to soon!
