This is an EXCELLENT restaurant - especially for vegetarians and vegansAll of the veg dishes are amazing - fragrant and spicy and incredibly healthy.

This is the only Ethiopian restaurant I've found in Lansing so farIt's super cute on the inside and the girl who took my order was really nice.

Here is my original review, which I will leave as is, from 2017: Delicious, homemade, simple....delicious! Vegan friendly, soy allergy friendly, nut allergy friendly. The fermented bread is unique and wonderful. And the lima beans are SO GOOD. We like to order our vegetarian combos with double salad, no cabbage . Here is my update, 2024: We have been eating here weekly for the past 8 years. However, as of late, a number of important things have been declining: the portion sizes, service, consistency, and freshness. Two weeks ago, the injera was dry and cracking something that I have never experienced. And this past week, the mild chickpea sauce was not only cold, but there was about 1/3 the portion as usual. And the limas weren 't salted. The flavors and salt levels have been fluctuation significantly in general. I still LOVE the fact that there are good ingredients and good vegetarian options, so I want to give a 4 rating for food, but for the cost $50 total for a veggie meat feast for 2 and the above issues, I have to give a 3. I love you guys and I hope this will be productive/constructive!! I want to continue to come here, but it is unfortunately getting harder every week. I would LOVE to see these things improve, as I really want to continue to give you my business!! : <3 <3 <3 My 2017 ratings were: 5 on food, 5 on service, and 5 on atmosphere.

I love this whole place, their staff are very polite, the seats and tables are always very clean, and the food is amazing! They make some really good spicy beef that has perfect mixes of spice and flavor, and the lima beans that they make actually make lima beans taste amazing! Even if you get an order out, the food tastes exactly the same as if you were eating there!
