Altu's Ethiopian Cuisine - East Lansing

I have enjoyed meals from Altu's Ethiopian Cuisine ever since its opening in the mid-1990's. They were my first choice when deciding on a catering option for my son's college graduation reception held in my home last weekend. The new owner (Gutu) was professional, thoughtful, organized, and responsive. I ordered a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options which were delicious for my family and friends attending the event! I appreciate the care taken by Gutu and staff to ensure consistent restaurant-quality of the food, as well as their timely arrival to allow adequate time for setup prior to my guests arriving. Nice place that is something unique for the landing scene.

One of my favorite restaurants. Consistent quality, great veggie options, delicious and unique flavors. If I am ever in a rut for dinner, or don't feel well, Altu's is always my go to.

Planned a very special evening Saturday evening with my mother and sisters. And while the restaurant doesn’t generally accommodate reservations on a weekend, Gutu was kind enough to reserve us a table and honored that commitment even when we ran late. The atmosphere comfortable, clean, and attractive. Wait staff was attentive and helpful. The shared platter of food was amazing and for those who never experienced Ethiopian cuisine, they were impressed. Thank you Gutu! Ramona

Altus is wonderful. Every time I have gone here, and it's been many times the food is always amazing. Anything on the menu is great!The service has always been wonderful, and timely.The interior is pleasant and inviting. Parking: The parking lot is small. There is street parking to the east of the building.
