Viet royal - East Perth

A quaint little place where the tasting plate for entree is wonderful. Spicy seafood for mains has turned out to be magnificent with just the right amount of heat

The restaurant was fairly quiet upon arrival but full by the time we were finished. We just had a selection of entrees but they all were excellent so I would expect nothing else for other items on the menu.

Viet Royal was our first meal in Perth. We heard Asian cuisine is excellent in Australia and we were not disappointed. The people who worked here were kind, helpful, and courteous. The food was delicious!! We ate the spring rolls, Garlic Pepper Beef, and pad thai... We enjoyed all of it immensely!

I tried this place a few weeks ago, having heard good reports from locals. It was a cold, wet night so the restaurant was not that busy and we received prompt, competent service. I had the vegetable spring rolls as an entree and they were delicious & very big! For mains I had the satay beef with a side of jasmine rice. The serve of beef was huge (to the point that I couldn't finish it) and very tasty. Lots of meat with visible pieces of vegetables and delicious sauce. For less than $20, I felt it was excellent value. As with many Asian restaurants, the menu was extensive and there really is something on there for everyone. I would dine here again.

Good food without being sensation or different - perhaps caters too much to "western" tastes but this works well for a diverse group. Well priced. Relaxed casual atmosphere.
