Bidra med feedbackWe went there because their rating was supposed to be excellent. In fact it is very poor and overrated. They had a poor selection of wine and the restraint is very drab and dated. The meat pie that I had was not too bad but they poured gravy over it and then provided a gravy bowl. I overheard a conversation that the Landlady was having with some friends. They asked for a certain type of beer and she replied that she did not have it and that it was only a village pub and that they only drank s . I'm sorry but she has to be more respectful especially as I am local.
Have just returned from a delicious Sunday lunch at the Blue Belll Inn. The meat was really tender, we had a mix of turkey and beef, beautifully cooked fresh vegetables roast potatoes and mash and Yorkshire pudding and gravy. The food was served really quickly and the staff were really kind and attentive. I would definitely recommend a visit here.
One of the best Sunday lunches I have had. The meat was really tender and plenty of it, loads of veg, lovely home made yorkshire, and really tasty beef gravy. Scrumptious. Will definitely go back.
We were late for lunch and worried we would go hungry but the reception we received at the Blue Bell pub in Sproatley could not have been warmer. The home-cooked food was super, copious and reasonably priced. We had Sunday roast (either beef or turkey, both tender and delicious) with yorkshire pudding, two sorts of potatoes and three other vegetables including a splendid broccoli and cauliflower gratin. And the puds were great too.
There was 6 of us in total and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
