Bidra med feedbackWe had our Christmas Lunch here. 46 of us!! Everything was great. The set up, looked festive. It was very well organised. The service was great. The food was very tasty and great portion sizes. All in all a great time was has. Thank you to Adam the team
Awful food mine my friends food was frozen in the middle , we informed staff who took plates away they returned two mins later with same plates that had been blasted in microwave this resulted in the chips and salad shrinking and drying and leaving the main meal congealed. Complained again and staff just shrugged their shoulders. They didn’t bring out the sides we paid for so again had to speak to staff. They returned with sides which were limp and soggy. We didn’t eat a thing. They came to remove plates and I told them we couldn’t eat and why they already knew and the server simply put her head down and walked away with the full plates. No attempt to offer apologies or refunds and a group of staff just stood at the kitchen door pointing at our table ! I’ve been in places less expensive and the food and service is first class compared to this place. Would never recommend. Don’t waste your money !
I went to The Duke of Cumberland last night with some friends for a meal. As I had already been out for lunch, I ordered a starter of chicken breast fillets . When this food arrived it was horrible. The chicken was a soft, mushy.concoction that tasted nothing like chicken God only knows what is was. It was inedible and when the waitress collected the dishes and asked if everything was ok I told her that No, it definitely was not! There was no response or comeback from the kitchen, the chef or any of the staff. I will never be eating in that establishment again and would advise everyone else to steer clear!!!
Not safe for women!!!!!! The owners brother spent the night making inappropriate and offensive gestures and comments to my younger sister and when I confronted him about this he punched me in face. Following the incident the owners brother was sent to the managers flat upstairs while he tried to kick us out. We asked the manager Adam Bryson to call the police multiple times to report the sexual harassment and violence and he refused and instead continued to shout at us and refuse to speak to us until we were sober despite the fact that none of us were drunk or had even had a drink that night due us driving. We have been told that there are two sides to every story so nothing can be done except the owners brother myself and other siblings are all barred for 2 weeks. The manager, and owners of this pub are doing absolutely nothing. Do not recommend going poorly managed and unsafe. Update instead of checking on my sister and using any kind of decency they are instead spreading lies and victim blaming by getting locals to write reviews blaming her instead. We have requested cctv from Marstons themselves which will show that me and my family only had one drink at the start of the night. My sister could have been naked and/or drunk and it still gives nobody the right to harass her. We were not drunk. We did not start any fight. My sister did not deserve (nor does any woman) to be harassed on that night or any days following that.
Last night I unfortunately witnessed appalling behaviour at this pub at a birthday party that was happening at the same time as our visit. A young girl, maybe 19 ish, was been made very uncomfortable by a much older man and his inappropriate comments. The girl returned to her family table and was followed by said older man, he then tried to follow her outside. When barred from following her, he started throwing punches, hitting her brother/boyfriend/relative... The owner/ manager seemed to be blaming the family and the young girl rather than the older guy and also seemed to be refusing to call the police. We left at that point and won't be back. I'd suggest if you're a young woman or have younger women in your family you avoid this place Have reported the incident to the brewery, Marstons
