Town Diner - East Windsor

I have dined at this restaurant every time I travel from New York to Washington, DC. I had dinner there yesterday. Here's the rundown: I ordered scrambled eggs and potatoes (perfectly prepared) and also ordered gluten-free toast. The waitress made a big deal about accommodating my request. Unfortunately, the toast was frozen solid in the middle, as I later found out that they keep their gluten-free bread in the freezer. The cashier informed me that this was important. I asked if they would deduct it from the bill, to which they hesitantly agreed. The service was lacking, as the waitress never checked on me or even brought my water. The rest of the staff seemed to be complaining and slacking off. After 15 or 20 visits to this diner, I won't be returning.

The Eggs Benedict were good, but not the best. They needed more flavor. However, the pancakes were excellent. I noticed that it was extremely crowded on Mother's Day, but the service was excellent and overall it wasn't bad at all.

Terrible experience. I ordered the turkey dish, but the bowl it came in was cracked. When I mentioned this to the server, she brushed it off and said they had plenty of them. I ordered the turkey on an imperial roll with mayonnaise and pepper, but received turkey on an Italian roll with green peppers instead. They charged me $2.25 for a small cup of coffee, and the ketchup they provided was an off brand. Overall, I would not recommend going back to this restaurant.

This diner is very beautiful and very well maintained. large selection of food and service is really good.

My wife and I ate dinner here in March 2022. I had a tuna sandwich on toasted rye with pickle and cole slaw. My wife had green eggs and ham. The food and service were very good.
