As pub food goes you can't beat it. I had the fish and chips. Nice atmosphere. 4 real ales on tap. My children also liked it as their empty plates suggest.

We arrived on time and were promptly shown to our table. Our drink orders were taken right away and served shortly after. The menu features classic options like fish and chips and lasagna, along with a specials board. The staff were friendly, and our food arrived in a timely manner. The quality of the dishes was excellent—homemade and served in generous portions. While this place isn't the cheapest option, it's also not overly pricey. We enjoyed a three-course meal accompanied by a couple of bitter shandies. The atmosphere was clean and inviting, and I couldn't find any faults with my experience. If you're passing through, I highly encourage you to try this place; I'm confident you won't be disappointed. Don’t let stories about the former landlord deter you—he's long gone, so please give this establishment a chance to impress you.

The nachos were the best I've ever had. Even though the restaurant was busy, they quickly accommodated us for lunch. The service was surprisingly fast given the crowd. All the staff were friendly and attentive.

This was my first visit in a long time, and I had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent, and the service was on point thanks to the friendly staff, even though the place was quite busy. The garden and decor were also fantastic!

Won't be returning! Bar staff took their time to serve. Not overly friendly either. Previously we had a lovely meal and the waitress was great, however on spending £25 on a bottle of wine on 2 occasions after with not great service, we won't come back. Not welcoming...shame really but heh plenty of other nice pubs around....cest la vie
