Bidra med feedbackBeautiful pub in a beautiful location and staff very pleasant, but eating was a disappointment. 28 for a hard steak and 7.50 for a part of the chocolate brew. will not return.
I decided to bring my Portuguese free to the jolly sailor. we ordered garnel, mosquitoes. and squirting, fish cake! and salat . we had the muddles and asked if it was a bowl of milk and muddle without taste, then. we order the fish cakes that were hard and tasteless! I try not to say my commentary in a disgusting way!!!. but was not accepted. I feel that the kitchen really needs attention. the pub was not busy for a Friday night. we then went after the payment of the bill, we were both still unsatisfactory and decided to go to the talisman pub in the parktor. personal very friendly and great menu .very tasty I would just recommend and be able to visit the pub as if I am free. but very disappointed and frustrated with the food of the jolly sailer . please pay more attention to the menu and the quality and the amount that it is important.
We have a few weeks ago for coffee and cake (tremendous worth at 3.50) and stained mushles on the menu not many pubs have this article. my wife had the warm beet-root-flafel salad. my muddles were not very big, but. when they were delivered to the table, they came with a disc burned sourdough toast. How can a cook imagine that a guest doesn't complain about it? I got and then I got an unburned, cold toast. I complain again and our super server ell has a warm clean sourdough toast. we have also divided chips and brought the small deserts and coffee to the conclusion. together with drinks and drink for ell who gave excellent attentive service, the bill came to 51. I have given a “very good” rating if actually eating was only average, but the atmosphere and newly decorated pub with much going on the mouth go a higher rating than average. it was also a wonderful sunny day and we had a table on the ponton.
Beautiful location at the river hamble . constricting parking and a steep step from the road to the traditional waterhouse. great eating good beer in a wonderful environment. well worth getting there.
It’s been a while since we last visited here and it was a place of which we were rather fond. Service was prompt and we ordered just a couple of starters and sides. My mushroom starter was poorly presented and was largely a piece of...soggy bread with a few slices of mushroom in a slightly insipid sauce. My wife was found of the chilli prawns but the current portion she felt rather measly for 9. Much better though were the tempura battered onions. We just had soft drinks and noticed nobody asked if our food was ok. We left rather disappointed.
