Bidra med feedbackTastes like authentic Cantonese food at very affordable prices with big servings
After price increase in recent months after changing hands, it's no longer very good value eating here. The dishes maintain previous standard though. With the renovation, toilet was cleaner and more presentable. It also has slightly larger space than other cafes in Eastwood. It just loses edge after price hike so you have more options in this area. Take note of the new name if you care.
Its a good place for casual dinning. Breakfast lunch and dinner. Daily specials are good a cheap Dai Pa Dong style.
This restaurant is connected to the BBQ outlet in the Lakeside Village shopping centre. Both are branches of the original Chatswood BBQ Kitchen. This chain of BBQ Meats is one of the best in Sydney (and friends have said it is better than Singapore and on par with Hong Kong). Rating the Food: Good Cantonese BBQ Meats (7/10) Been here many times with family and friends and the food is consistently good. Recommend their specialties BBQ Duck Pork (Char Siew). They have a Peking Duck special with 2 courses (Pancakes San Choy Bao or Noodles) for less than $22 (Half Duck) this is a great bargain: enough for 2 3 people. Otherwise their single serving of Char Siew Rice is very generous for less than $10: Good value. They also serve Cafe de Hong Kong style dishes (Asian interpretations of European Food) and various other lunch/morning tea specials. Tea is free. This restaurant is not fine dining, but more a comfortable neighbourhood diner with booth seating and tables without tablecloths easy cleaning. This is typical of many Asian hole in the wall diners in Eastwood: cheap cheerful dining. There are many new BBQ Meat competitors in Eastwood vying for customers who can now be very choosy. The Asian food scene is very vibrant here with Cantonese, Pekingnese, Shanghainese, Vietnamese and Korean restaurants making this the top foodie destination in the Northern Suburbs. The Eastwood BBQ Kitchen is one of several such Chinese restaurants in Eastwood; this one specializing in traditional Peking roast duck. They have a full line-up of Chinese fare, which can be enjoyed at the restaurant or take-away. The staff is very friendly and attentive! Prices are very reasonable.
