Bidra med feedbackService was standard but the combination pho I got was really good. Some of the best pho around Eastwood (ever since Tam Viet took a nosedive in the quality of their pho). Soup was alright but tendon was cooked very well (not too hard, not too gummy, it had a nice, easy chewiness to it). Tripe didn't have a strange odour and was also perfectly al dente. (It didn't feel like I was trying to chew through rubber, as I've experienced in the other restaraunt mentioned in this review). Meatballs were infused with mushroom if I remember correctly? Those were quite tasty too. Noodles were nice but I've had better elsewhere. Above average vietnamese restaraunts tend to pay attention to the quality of their tendon and tripe in pho. I think this is an area where Pho Mai has excelled at. I am definietly looking forward to my next visit!
Good Pho, maybe beef should be sliced and spread out so it's easier to handle. The accompanying items were ok, would visit again if we were in the area.
Extremely clean and friendly Vietnamese restaurant in Eastwood. We ordered the tomato rice with chicken, beef pho, and spring rolls. Everything was quite delicious and reasonably priced.
Came here with a large group, including two children, as the nearby HK cafe was full. I had the deep fried pork chop with rice noodle soup. The pork chop was served rather dark, but still juicy, and pre-cut into slices - I guess for easy eating without the need for a knife and fork. Serving portions around the table were rather large and everyone enjoyed their meal.
