Bidra med feedbackThe blackfriars restaurant and the bar in the blackfriars street in edinburgh opened in 2013. their goal is to create a place that is “related and yet professional, with foods that are inconvenient and tasty”. the bar and restaurant, which are next to each other, share a garden space that can be used for alfresco drinks and restaurants. there are some really good craft beers in the offer when this is their scene, so it is worth getting drinks early for some pre-dinners.
The place is smart and the service very good, but eating is very likely to share

I went to Blackfriars last month for their bargain Lunch menu. It was a really enjoyable meal. The food was creative and very tasty. I had the starter of ox tongue, fried egg and toast with capers and shallots. It was delicious!! There was major food envy from my dining guest The main was Game sausage roll with potatoes and green and finished off with Churros. It was my first time having Churros and i loved them but they were a little heavy for me so i swapped with my dining companion for his Frangelico Affgato. Now that was something special.
