Bidra med feedbackWe used to frequent this great wee pub and enjoyed the live music and lively atmosphere. It changed hands last year and it looks like the new owner has done away with the music. We visited on Saturday night and found an empty bar with boring sports screens. The bar person could not tell us if the music will return. Very disappointing. We cannot understand why anyone would take over such a lively venue and turn it into a boring empty ‘sports bar’? We had one drink and left although we would return if the music and atmosphere was reinstated
We received a terrifically warm welcome from the stellar lady publican, as soon as we came through the door. Nothing was too much trouble (for any customer, I could see) and everything came with the kind of smile that can't be faked. Good beer, nice food and service that couldn't have been bettered. Thanks for turning a week-night stop for a snack into something special.
What a great pub, friendly staff, good blether, lively music nights...ukulele, karaoke, juke box, quiz nights, dominoes and bar snacks, plus a “ gin bar”Lovely lady publican, Nicky. Well worth a visit
I was here on sunday for the meetup. It's a nice pub, and it being sunday evening it was quite empty, so we as a group had a lot of fun. The beer is quite cheap. Don't remember when I last had a pint for £3something in Edinburgh. Will definitely keep visiting for the meetups
Popped in here for drink before heading out to eat on a recent trip to Edinburgh. A really lovely and well run local. Very friendly bar staff and customers and the place is very comfy and welcoming. We didn't have food on this occasion as we were meeting friends later but we were really intrigued by the pie menu wish we had been able to sample these 2 vegetarian options which is wonderful. This is a really lovely pub just wish it was on the corner of the street I lived on!
