Pressley's At The Marina

Wish I could give zero stars. Wanted to order take out, but they refused to serve my family, even though we called ahead and asked about take out service. Thomas bluntly told us to leave when I tried to explain our situation. Worst restaurant worker I have ever encountered. Doesn't know what customer service means. Stay away!!

Title: Disappointing Dining Experience I recently dined at Pressleys and unfortunately , it left much to be desired. The food, particularly the clams and shrimp, tasted like they were straight out of the frozen section of a grocery store. The service wasn't much better; the waiter's demeanor leaned towards rude. Adding insult to injury, an 18% gratuity was automatically tacked onto my to-go order. Suffice it to say, I won't be returning anytime soon. After reviewing the menu on line, the meal came with a veggie and side which was not received. Tried calling back and spoke to Paige, she was going to comp the price of the side. Waited a few moments on hold then a man came on the line and he didn't have any idea what was happening. Needless to say, I was not going to give mt cc info or repeat the story.

Super nice waitress and hosts! And yummy food! The mozzarella sticks really were exciting to me, I'm already thinking about making them at home. The parmesan crusted grouper was AWESOME. Highly recommend!! Confusing entrance though. Gps made me turn into the wrong drive, but it was easy enough to tell where to park. But getting in the door... well, I missed the sign on the right wall telling me to go up the set of stairs in the center walkway of the building. Heck, I didn't notice those particular stairs the first walk through. Not a huge deal though : Little pricey but everywhere on the island is. And personally I'd say it was worth it.

This is a mixed review. PROS: The she crab soup was excellent. The spring roll appetizer was wonderful (but my guess not made in house). The views are nice. CONS: The appetizer came WITH our dinner, not before. My husband's shrimp scampi was interesting. Shrimp was good, pasta was overcooked and broken in short strands. I had ordered broiled shrimp and red rice and green beans. Shrimp was fine. Red rice was barely room temperature. Green beans were canned! What restaurant serves canned vegetables?!?! It took two tries to make a dirty martini and then they charged us $17.50 for one drink! This place needs a restaurant intervention and it would be great. $90 for our meal was insulting.

The service here was good but the food was terrible for the price. It tasted like it came out of the freezer section and had absolutely no flavor at all. Very disappointed.
