Island Cafe Bistro - Edmonton

Incredible food and lovely owners! This restaurant offers fantastic choices for both vegans and meat-eaters. It's quickly become one of my favorite spots in Edmonton. I tried the vegan curry chicken drumlettes (which I can't recommend highly enough) along with the Roti. I also sampled the white coffee and teh tarik (a Malaysian tea). Everything was packed with flavor, and the owners clearly have a deep passion for their food and culture. My friend ordered a meat dish and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. He even liked my vegan "chicken"!

The food here is excellent, and the customer service is outstanding! This family-owned restaurant has very friendly owners who make it a point to connect with every guest and ensure you enjoy your meal. The cuisine is authentically Malaysian, and you can really taste the difference compared to other "Malaysian" restaurants. Don't miss out on the fantastic desserts and the delicious white coffee! I highly recommend this cozy little spot.

This restaurant consistently appears in searches as one of the finest in Edmonton, and I’m pleased to confirm that it lives up to its reputation. While enjoying a staycation in the city this week, I decided to treat myself to lunch here. The first taste of the curry sauce was nothing short of incredible—every bite of the meal was fresh and bursting with flavor. The roti was outstanding, perfectly crisp and flaky. The owners mentioned that everything is made in-house, and it truly shows. They were warm and welcoming, providing excellent service throughout my visit. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu with friends!

First time to this place yesterday, such a hidden gem! The food was delicious, the owners were super nice and gave us sample foods that they were promoting! Will definitely go back!
