Table Top Cafe - Edmonton

Cute little cafe to play board games. Drinks/snacks are overpriced and I would definitely stay away from the nachos, but otherwise enjoyable experience.

We were invited to go with a group of friends to play some board games at Table Top Cafe. I didn't even know places like this existed and wasn't sure what to expect. The place was packed and had the walls covered in various board and RPG style card games. I had an excellent time and we hung out trying some old favorites and new board games making new friends along the way. The food selection is limited but I didn't leave hungry at all. Great people watching as well - you have all types of characters and groups rolling through. Service at Table Top is great as well. Most of them seem to have been working there for some time as they all had tips or tricks for almost all of the games that we were playing. The billing system works a little different than anything I'm used to. Make sure you check in with the cashiers first and they will take your name and what table you're sitting at. After that, everything is put on your tab, including a $5 charge for the evening to take part in any of the games available in the library. I thought that overall it is a very unique and fresh idea for options out with friends.

Staff are helpful and polite. This is a great way to try out different games. Go on a date here or go with a group of friends.

This was the first time I had been to a cafe like this. A group of us from work met - we picked out a couple of games and got through both of them. There is a wide selection of games to play. Also a large selection of games to buy. The people who worked there were very friendly and kept a tab for each of us individually - very easy to square up as we were leaving. There is a nice selection of drinks and snacks as well. I loved the location - very close to where I live. Will definitely consider returning.

Went with my husband on a Tuesday evening so it wasn't overly busy. While it was just the two of us and there was lots of game options, the selection for multiple player games is huge!You pay $5 each to play whatever games you want. We couldn't agree on the rules of one game we played and fortunately the staff had played it before and clarified for us. Food is okay. For the price it's fine but next time I would eat prior to going. Mostly wraps and snacks. Love the candy!Would definitely go again!
