Viphalay Laos Thai - Edmonton

Friendly service, good prices and excellent portions. Never left feeling hungry. Great little place if you're looking for food downtown that is a bit out of the way. Not a huge amount of places to sit so it probably wouldn't hurt to phone ahead some days.

I've frequented Viphalay so many times over the years. The food is always absolutely delicious and reasonably priced, with the best coconut rice in the city, imo. The service was not the greatest the last time I was there (really curt server), but it has been ok all other times. I recommend this venue and can't wait to go back!

Incredible restaurant, incredible food, still visiting and ordering since we moved well out of Downtown.

Before the pandemic, this was one of my absolute favorite Thai places. Unfortunately, when I was finally able to return, the dishes seemed like they were much less homemade and more ready-made. Having said that, the flavors were still good, although a little too sweet for my liking. The servers were very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes ingredients for my dietary needs,and we didn't have any wait when we arrived to be seated. So, overall, it was a pleasant enough experience for a working lunch, but I probably will not be clambering for another reservation.Dietary restrictions: I was able to ask and receive adequate information to ensure I could confidentiality eat here without getting sick. (Gluten, dairy, and egg)

I recently dined at this Thai restaurant and had an amazing experience! Their vegan spicy noodle dish is an absolute delight. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the spice level was just right for my taste. I appreciate that they offer such a flavorful vegan option, and it's definitely one of the best I've tried. The service was excellent, and the ambiance added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Thai cuisine.
