Pancho's Mexican - El Cajon

Pretty standard Mexican food. Strawberry Margaritas were very sweet in a bad way. I had a tostada that totally disappointed. Prices are high too. Beautiful stained glass.

This place looks old and tired on the outside. It's not a whole lot better on the inside. It looks like it's not been updated since 1978. However, the food and service are both excellent ? Vegetarian options: They have veggie options. There isn't a specific vegetarian section of the menu. They have spinach enchiladas, veggie burrito etc

I love the lunch menu here. Beer prices are reasonable, however the selection is your typical Mexican beer selection, don't be looking for any local craft beer to pair with your lunch or dinner. Service is with a smile, and the salsa (which I believe defines Mexican) is superb. Update:still good value. If you like XX Dos Amber, they have that on tap. I love the wet shrimp burrito, served with rice and beans.
