Peet's Coffee - El Cerrito

Despite the busy atmosphere of the surrounding area, the staff at this restaurant are efficient and attentive. The baristas were patient and friendly, and my drink order was delivered promptly. I was even offered assistance as I left the restaurant. They definitely go above and beyond in their customer service.

Its okay, clean store, but busy as expected. Unpopular opinion, but the matcha here is just kinda nasty, I hate to say it, but Starbucks actually does that one WAY better. The jellies taste fine, but have a TERRIBLE mouth feel, it ain't boba people. So pass for next time.

The staff here is very friendly and, and very accommodating. I have a coffee request that is complicated and they are willing to make it with no questions asked .

Service was non-communicative, indifferent...downright surlyit, in fact. A sign in the case was misplaced, so I was given a different pastry than I thought I was ordering, and my tuxedo iced coffee with oat milk was weak, too sweet, and not worth what I paid for it. I was a *huge* fan of Peet's back in the day, but if this is what it has devolved into, then that opinion may have to change. I won't judge the entire chain on the basis of this one experience, but I also won't be going back to this location. *Huge* disappointment!

I love Peet's Coffee in Albany. I used to work nearby this store from 2012-2013 and it was my go-to spot. I knew all the staff back then, who were amazing (I think John is still there??). My recent visit was pleasant. The store is always clean, the staff were nice, and the coffee is always excellent. I highly recommend it.
