Penndel's Bakehouse - El Cerrito

Tried Pendell’s Bakery for the first time today, because I was considering ordering a birthday cake. The ladies working there are nice and welcoming. The slice of cake I ordered was pretty good and moist. However, I agree with the other reviews that said their cupcakes did NOT taste fresh! It’s not like I ate the cupcakes immediately, I left them out at room temperature for a few hours and still, the cupcakes were dry and neither the frosting nor the cupcake itself gave fresh. I actually wanted to order a cake during one month, followed by three dozen cupcakes for the following month, but now I’m not so sure and will continue looking elsewhere. I may have to just go with Cupcakin Bake Shop, because they never disappoint!

El Cerrito has needed a bakery and PennDel's Bakehouse hits the mark! The women behind this special business are so amazing thoughtful. You can tell they bake with love use super fresh ingredients. Such a great value for delicious grab go treats including specialty and seasonal cakes (and slices), cupcakes, cookies, muffins, garlic-green onion-cheddar biscuits (so good to bring home and make breakfast sandwiches with) and more.We had a family birthday cake made by PennDel's recently the women went above beyond (we had to delay the order several times because of Covid) to truly make this dessert one for the books!Thank you for joining the list of El Cerrito's top spots a place that's always warm/inviting when you need something on the run!

I bought a dozen cupcakes this week 9 different kinds. Excellent. Service is excellent in this little store in El Cerrito. Cakes look beautiful, other items such as coffee cakes (which I have tried) are available too.

Super luxurious pastries!! I had the tiramisu cake and it was super lovely and rich (it might be some of the best tiramisu I've tried), the woman at the front was kind too and the store was really clean. Would definitely return if I lived closer lol!

I randomly stumbled upon this bakery and let meJust say the customer service is phenomenal pack that with amazing pastries and VEGAN options oh and did I mention custom made cakes if you have allergies like me!!!! ? the vegan cupcakes were so fresh and delicious and creamy I cannot wait to go back. Highly recommend
