Corralito Steak House - El Paso

I visited this restaurant for the first time after checking out their menu, but I was quite disappointed. The steaks were tough, and the seasoning on one was excessively salty, while the other lacked flavor entirely. Considering the price, I expected something extraordinary. Overall, I was very disappointed!

Our group of seven arrived on time for our 5 PM reservation, as we were planning to attend a concert just a block away at 7:30 PM. The restaurant was almost empty when we got there. Unfortunately, it took 30 minutes for our drink orders to be served. We then placed our dinner orders, but unfortunately, the steaks were overcooked and there were mistakes in a few of the orders. After we requested our checks, it took 20 minutes for them to arrive, and another 30 minutes to process our payment. We were not informed that a 20% gratuity would be automatically included, and even that was handled poorly—one check was charged twice and another wasn’t charged at all. Two and a half hours later, we finally left the restaurant with our issues unresolved. I was extremely disappointed and will not return or recommend this location. One of our guests went back the next day to dispute the double 20% gratuity charge, and it was eventually addressed. Corralitos on Doniphan is great, though!

The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasant, but the tables are a bit too closely arranged. The food was delicious, except for the asparagus, which wasn't trimmed properly and still had the tough ends on them. The lighting in my section of the restaurant was a bit dim, which wasn't ideal for our business meeting. Overall, it was a nice, quiet, and private space. The service was exceptional and very attentive—truly outstanding!

We made an open table reservation and it still took 1 hour to be seated. Our server and hostess were great but the food is overpriced for the cheap quality it is.

Great food, good service, decent wine list good for small ish groups (less than 10). Convenient, although parking can be an issue at times. Queso fundido with rajas makes me so happy, and the spicy sauce that comes with the short ribs appetizer will knock your socks off!
