Bidra med feedbackHad lunch here on a Friday at noon but we were nearly alone in the restaurant. Service was good but the food was pretty average. Had a noodle dish that was very bland, garlic broccoli was ok, kung pau chicken was good. Not nearly as good as the PF Chang restaurant whose location it replaced.
Chinese food is hard to come by in the Southbay. I was hoping this would be a good option but I was disappointed. The food was not very flavorful to me. However my husband thought it was tasty as he tends to find a lot of restaurant food too spicy whereas there's not a lot of situations where there's too much garlic if you ask me. We had steamed chicken dumplings, wonton soup, orange chicken, beef with broccoli. Basic stuff and all were basically adequate nothing special. Our waiter was nice but they appeared to be short handed (like so many places nowadays) as we had to wait a while for someone to come seat us. The decor seemed rather overly minimalist and I found the TV set to football not conducive to a nice food experience. Especially when people watching it were screaming and yelling every time they got excited. I doubt we'll go back as we can get better food at Panda Express takeout for a better value and just eat it at home.
I absolutely adore this place! I highly recommend it to everyone. The atmosphere is relaxing, the portions are generous, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive.
I was excited to try their signature Chinese chicken salad, but when my friend took a bite, she just sat there in silence. I tried it too, and we exchanged a disappointed glance—it was the worst salad we’d ever had. It looked wilted and tasted awful. On the positive side, the wonton soup was fresh and tasty. However, despite the lack of customers, the service was slow. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.
During our first visit on September 6 at 2:09 PM, we were served by Zarina. My wife asked for hot water, and she graciously brought a pot and cup, which was very helpful. We enjoyed Szechuan Green Beans and Pad Thai, both of which were healthy and not greasy—it's a nice take on Americanized Chinese cuisine. Since then, we've ordered takeout through the Uber Eats app three times, and it has been consistently good.
