Subway - Eldora

The service was good. But not really very friendly. No smiles. No real interest in interacting with another customer. Just get the job done. And I don't blame the people working here. Its just another dead end job in a place with little to offer. The meatball sub I ordered was mediocre at best. The bread was mushy, like subway bread always is, and it looked like someone squashed it while wrapping it up. The sandwiches always look that way because the bread is too soft. The meatballs lacked flavor. Nothing Italian about them. Its been a long time since I ate at subway, and it will be a longer time before I eat there again. I had a rather unpleasant experience tonight with Taye, who was my server. He barely made eye contact and only spoke a single word during the entire interaction. I ordered three sandwiches and all he asked was, “toasted?” When I requested one of the sandwiches to be extra toasted, he sighed dramatically, as if it were a tremendous effort. His attitude was off-putting; he slammed things down and made it abundantly clear that he wanted nothing to do with his job or the customers. Overall, it was not a great service experience for a take-out dinner that cost around $30-$50 per person.
