El Chicanito Bakery - Elgin

The food is delicious. I'm Mexican, so I think that says a lot. The service was also great. They recommended us what to get. The ambience is completely clean. Definitely recommend 10/10!

Edit for reply to owner: Female with glasses and tat on arm. She rang up the order wrong and when she was told that was not correct she said it was too late to fix it.Bad service. Refused to correct an order they got wrong. Refused to get the right food and refused refund. Won't be coming here anymore.Mal servicio. Hicieron el orden mal y no quisieron corregir el orden. Nunca más.

A real sweet place on earth.Authentic:Mexican sweet bread and Mexican dishes.All staff members are so sweet and friendly.Bottom line.It's a beautiful sweet place.

Food is amazing there but the service is awful. I visited the place around 1 pm and the cashier was really rude. We ordered 2 tortas, 1 tamale and a drink. One torta was ordered without onions and jalapeños on the side and they still got those ingredients inside my torta which wasn’t a big deal. We asked respectfully If they could fix it. The cashier took the torta to the back with a really bad attitude. I thought “maybe she is having a bad day” but it wasn’t the first time that we go through this situation at that place!

El Chicanito has an authentic Mexican bread and food. People working on this place are so nice and friendly. You can feel a good mood when you cross the main door. You have to try.
