Sandwich Market - Elizabeth City

There are many new restaurants in town but The Sandwich Market is an institution for Elizabeth City and a must Go when you are in the area. They may look simple but they are definitely made with love and you can taste it!!! A normal place for locals and a great stop destination for travelers!!! The decoration of the restaurant is something different but amazing! I go to EC at least three times per year to visit and each time this must go place for me. The staff is super friendly, they bring up the food to your table and they are just the best people to get food from. I have tried several of their sandwiches and none of them have disappointed me. I have gone with at least 4 other people and all of them loved their sandwiches!!! I highly recommend it

We came to Elizabeth City to get a while away from Hampton Roads. I had just expected to order a sandwich, but the friendly lady who greeted us recommended the beef bread meal. The beef breeze (served only on Sundays) was the BEST I 've ever cost. It was seasoned (not in a shy way) and perfectly cooked. The side of a sauce that comes with brisket also tasted good, but honestly it was not even necessary for so that delicious cooked meat. I've never heard of pineapple casrole, but now I'm a lover of it. The macaroni and cheese and a maize bread rounded off the meal perfectly. After that, I was so full that I didn't even eat the lemon cake I ordered with the meal. I ate that the next day and, wow, that was also delicious. I should have ordered two. From now on, the Sandwish Market is a must for me when I come to Elizabeth City.

Amazing little place right on the main road must really use Gps or already know where it is a small sign on the side, but nothing on the front, but please don't let that the relief you take out of the attempt of this place. A bite and I knew I found a new hole in the wall space for me and Papa Subs came with chips and pickle spears that were all amazing and they have a drive thru that I just found out cause someone asked me if I was in the line. You definitely need better signs, but nothing has to change with the amazing rust beef subs we have

The food was great for a great price. People there were friendly. Would definitely recommend trying here

They are open on Sundays, which differs from the information on Google. I highly recommend the brisket and BBQ meal—it's absolutely delicious!
