Southern Cafe - Elizabethton

Elizabethton needs this place. I was going through one of the hardest times in my life two years ago but always found comfort coming here. Just returned from overseas a few weeks ago and this was the first place I wanted to take my mom when coming to visit. I couldn't believe my eyes that it was closed. I just want to say thank you from my heart to the owner, staff and anyone else involved in serving or putting.up with the public. Please consider reopening at some point. You never know what people were going through walking through those doors. God bless all of you in Jesus name.

If you need to use the bathroom you got to go through the kitchen where they are cooking took forever to get the food

First time dining at Southern Restaurant. Can't believe they are closing this weekend. Food is fantastic. Sept 15, 2023.

Walked in told us to take a seat any where. We sat down and it was 10 minutes before we was waited on, and that was only I because I turned around and yelled are we going to waited on anytime today. They were all huddled up together talking. The waitress finally came and got our order of drinks. When we finally put our food order in, the waitress came out 10 minutes later and told us they were out of pinto beans, my husband didn't want anything else and they didn't offer to take anything off our bill. Worse experience I have had there will not be going back.

We went during a busy time. I was so happy to see them so busy. A great place to get great southern food for a great price! Parking is limited, you can park across the street and easily to the restaurant. Parking: Across the street
