Maru Ramen - Elk Grove

This is the restaurant we always visit whenever we're with family or passing through town. Even though it's a two-hour drive from us, we can’t resist enjoying their ramen. The broth, noodles, and meat are incredibly delicious. As for kid-friendliness, my daughter absolutely loves their ramen!

I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, and it was served nice and hot! The broth was quite tasty overall. I usually prefer Ryujin Ramen in downtown, but parking can be a challenge at times. Maru is a great alternative for me! The portion size was generous; I could only finish half and took the rest home. The interior was clean, and there was plenty of seating available for large groups. The service was fast. Plus, it's connected to the boba place next door, making it easy to place an order there and come back if you need to.

The food was tasty, but the service was extremely disappointing. After we were seated, it took ages to place our order. Once our meals arrived, no one came back to check on us. I had to walk to the front to ask for forks. After we finished eating, I again had to go to the front to request the check. No one came by to collect the payment, so I had to return to the front to settle the bill. The restaurant wasn't busy, and I noticed three employees just standing behind the bar instead of helping out.

One of the best Tantanmen Ramen I've tasted. And Maru Ramen the house specialty.

The staff was very rude. He completely ignored me when I said I was here picking up my food. It wasn’t even busy at the time so there’s no way he must’ve not heard me. Then proceeds to turn his back around and stared at his phone. Honestly, this ramen place has one of the worst customer services I’ve ever seen. If you care so much about good service, this place is the opposite of that.
