Waterman Brewing Company - Elk Grove

The menu offers typical pub food. The Reuben sandwich was quite good and enjoyable. The Waterman Sliders (three in total) were decent, but they came without any sides, which was a bit disappointing. As for the Uncle Jerry's Huckleberry Cider, the experience was lacking. The can features a quote from Uncle Jerry: "I don't care what anyone says," which seems to dismiss any suggestions for improving the cider. I would recommend sourcing a better cider. Overall, it feels like the descriptions are more creative than the actual execution.

I ordered the pretzel, the Cubano, and the quesadilla. The Cubano consisted of just a slice of pork and was missing essential ingredients like mustard, pickles, ham, and cheese, all of which are key to a proper Cubano. It was served on a cheap, generic dinner roll. The quesadilla featured a raw tortilla, awkwardly folded around unmelted cheese with only a few chunks of shredded pork sprinkled inside. The pretzel was decent, but it lacked the beer cheese and mustard that were supposed to accompany it. I'm hoping the kitchen simply had an off night and that this isn't how the food is usually served.

The staff was great, and some of the appetizers, especially the buffalo wings, were among the best I've ever had.

This is a fantastic little spot with a welcoming atmosphere. The owners and staff are genuinely friendly and attentive. Although it's a small brewery, their offerings are impressive, and I can see them thriving in a larger space! It's also child-friendly; while kids are welcome, the environment is primarily geared towards adults.

We loved the beer, and the pizza was delicious. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!
