The White Oak Tavern - Ellicott City

White Oak is a great place for a seasonally updated menu, and Vanessa the bartender is amazing.

This hidden gem is known for its craft beers and locally sourced menu items. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and well-informed.

The restaurant is very open with no booths. The bar and restaurant kind of blend together which makes it kind of noisy. The service was very good. The menu has kind of unusual choices like cauliflower soup and not Maryland Crab soup. There is no wedge salad but they have other odd salad choices. This probably has more to do with personal preference and less to do with the restaurant. Overall it was an enjoyable outing.

Great service and delicious food! They brought our son’s food out first without us even asking which was great!

Great selection of food and cocktails. Our server was very attentive and patient. Especially enjoyed the brisket stroganoff SO, SO GOOD.
