Always fresh fish, shellfish and lobster. I always bring cooler with ice with wet newspapers over the ice. Hint to tourists, do this to help protect your lobsters and keep them fresh and happy They will package and pack the cooler for you and they have ice right there too

If you don 't go here, you 're making a mistake. Best lobster roll I 've ever had in MY LIFE. I 've had a $300 dinner before but this $20 lobster roll takes the cake, hands down. Something about the chilled lobster meat (which btw, you get a fat heaping of), sitting atop a hot buttery bun made me mmmmm audibly, close my eyes, and ascend to flavor heaven. A couple days ago I got lobster in Bar Harbor but this really stepped it up another level.

Great place to pick up some clams for dinner. The guy working there was nice, too. The oysters were fantastic and super delicious I wish I had asked about where they came from (farmed or where they were caught), but I'll be back!

Hard to believe you could visit Ellsworth/Bar Harbor, Maine, Preseason and not find a lobster roll. Gal at Dorr's said she went through 4x more lobster today than usual for this season. Have a good problem after the last years! I went with two crabs, Calamari Salat and New England Clam Chowder. Chowder was full of succulents. The Calamari salad was wonderfully spiced and filled with delicious Calamari. The crab was fresh, juicy, sweet, fleshy and generously cut! Great alternative to lobster. Would order it again in a heartbeat!! Glad Dorr was open and served!!

A cooked lobster in a bag! Delicious! No butter needed; the lobster is incredibly fresh, sweet, and juicy. It’s dependable! We enjoyed a whole boiled lobster and a crab roll meal, complete with a drink, all for just $33. The staff is very professional and hardworking. While we were there, there was a bit of an issue with a difficult customer, but Dorr Lobster managed it exceptionally well from my perspective. Five stars! (I hope the customer's day turns out better than her attitude!) LOL
