Sushi Island - Elmhurst

Seeping in oil. Used to be good. I felt nauseous after eating it. They don’t keep in mind of how many customers r outside they just leave u standing

At first glance this place doesn't sound or look thank you I have a dining however yet humbly designed inside and basic whoever's doing the sushi behind the bar is absolutely amazing! We've all tried everybody's dishes there was six of us it was so good! The sushi was amazingly fresh and there were many different options to choose from it might be kind of hard to figure out what it is you want but you will definitely find something that you will like! So don't judge a book by its cover cuz this story inside and this little place has some great food in it! And they also serve drinks which is always a plus

My family and I have visited this restaurant a few times, always leaving a tip. I understand that restaurant staff rely on tips as part of their income. The food is good, no complaints there. However, on one occasion, when it came time to pay the bill, the server grabbed it out of my hand, pointed to where I should write the tip, and pressured me to hurry. This made me quite upset. I had planned on leaving a tip, but the server did not give me a chance to think. I ended up just paying the tip on my card and leaving. As my sister and mother were exiting behind me, the server stopped them and demanded more tips, claiming I had not left enough. I went back to see what was going on, and the server was very rude, saying that we should have checked with them before leaving the tip. This is not how customer service should be. Tips should be at the discretion of the customer, not demanded by staff. It was a disappointing experience that put a damper on the entire meal. This kind of behavior is not acceptable.

My visit to the restaurant today was absolutely terrible. It is the worst place to eat. I found hair in my food, broken dishes and saucepans. My drink was also not replaced without paying for another one. I will never go back to this place to eat. I guarantee that you will be disgusted and angry with their service, so do not go there and ruin your day.

The food at this restaurant is delicious and made exceptionally well. The avocado juice was exceptional, not to mention their delightful matcha-flavored ice cream. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
