Hill Top Inn - Elmira

After receiving an educational email from the owner about how buffets work and how restaurants outside Elmira often require deposits for reservations, I will oblige the owner, Mr. Sullivan, and state that we have previously enjoyed dining at Hilltop. The food was always good and the service was too. I found your response to this review to be both condescending and entertaining. ? -Thank you. Original review was that I wasn’t impressed with their pay in advance Thanksgiving reservation policy.

When we showed up and I messed up my reservation, the hostess was professional and kind. After a short wait at the bar we were seated. Every person, hostess, bartender, servers, manager/owner (maybe) were so friendly and polite. We enjoyed our dinner here immensely. Drinks, food and the beautiful atmosphere added to a splendid evening. Thanks again for making this happen when you certainly didn’t have to.

No longer have the taco bowl salads. I asked for a chicken speedie philly style sandwich rather than a philly cheesesteak sandwich and had to pay extra for cheese and peppers and onions! Really!? Doesn 't the steak cost more than the chicken ?? Very happy there are additional food vendors this year though!

We had a planned menu with a few items so ordering went fast and the kitchen was prepared. Everything was excellent especially the seared Tuna. View is specular especially watching the sun set. Highly recommend. I was born in Albany but first time in Elmira!

This restaurant was highly rated and deservedly so. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Sat outside and view was excellent.
