The Mark At Elon

I had a fantastic evening with friends at this restaurant. Every dish was prepared to perfection. My steak was absolutely outstanding. The service was impeccable; Jessica was wonderful. Everyone raved about their entrees. The beverage selection was quite good, too. My crème brûlée was delicious, although it was a bit cold. Don't miss out on the chocolate cake—it's incredible! We dined here before and thought it was good, but this time I would say it was great!

We dined at this restaurant last night and were thoroughly impressed! The calamari was outstanding, and there was an abundance of bread! Our drinks arrived quickly, and Jada, our waitress, was wonderful. Both my husband and I chose specials—he had the prime rib, and I had the lobster, which was delicious! The presentation of each dish was exceptional, and the flavors were spot on. We also indulged in the cheesecake for dessert. Overall, the experience was excellent! We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

We stayed in the hotel that had the hotel in it and ordered room service from the restaurant. Literally the only reason I didn't give them one star was because I liked the sliders. Half the food was pretty much unedible. One of the appetizers was so burnt that it wasn't even edible, the salmon was so bland that I took two bites and put it down. I have not been this disappointed in a meal in a long time. $75 a piece and I felt like I've had better airport food.

Unfortunately, I was not very impressed. The ambiance was beautiful and relaxing I will say. And the server was great also. But the food just wasn't up to the standards I expected. The soup was very bland. And not hot. The salad was lite on everything except the greens. Even the dressing. The empanadas were dry and had a greasy after taste. One little loaf of bread with loads of butter. My margarita was good. And also the calamari. I can't say I will give them another chance simply because there's nothing I can come back to knowing it will be good. Hopefully this will help the restaurant itself. Also this just may not be up to MY liking. Others may love it.

We had a fantastic birthday weekend getaway. The healthy breakfast and the continental options were excellent. We will definitely come back. Hopefully, room service will resume soon!
