Noble House Chinese - Eltham

If 1970s-style 'Chinese food ' in American-sized serves is what you are after this might be for you. Expensive, and I 've had better food at McDonalds. Oh for a good Vietnamese restaurant this side of Box Hill (Oh for any decent Asian food this side of Melbourne).

Food court quality food with faulty towers level service. Badly seasoned food, very average quality. Western style chinese food that doesn't taste bad but not great either. The waiter chastised us for asking questions around which of the two scallop dishes was which. On top of that he got them mixed up himself. We asked for sparkling water which i think may have tipped him over the edge as it made him very upset when he was asking us for drink orders.

Even for a suburban Chinese restaurant catering to the western palate its pretty awful. Let's see if the mains are amazingly good enough to change my mind. Nope. You could say the secret ingredient is salt or maybe MSG.

A local Eltham staple for Chinese, pretty much can 't go wrong with anything on the menu. Just had the C banquet, a good way to get a taste of the standards, was not disappointed. Friendly attentive service, definitely recommend for your next Chinese meal....

The only Chinese restaurant I will eat at! My family and I love everything about this place! The food is the best Chinese you can get in the north eastern suburbs . A family run business with such friendly service. They have been here for such a long time and you can see why! From the delicious food the the small touches such as handing out warm towels to finish off the experience. Have tried lots of things on the menu and it never disappoints. Especially the quail and calamari! So good!
