Never despise, at El Cristo de sea Essen is always fresh and prepared with top quality. We always come back as a group of friends, and we always go back with security.

Great service, they have their own shellfish nursery. Great value for price. We had bogavante, huge shrimps, lubina. king crab all excellent.

Great Bacalhau Dourado but service was below what I expected. Not polite and rushing everything to "get us out asap". Being in Alentejo, the bread was not up to local standards.

The atmosphere is casual much like similar seafood places. Ample rooms and very noisy.Fresh seafood and fish but that is not a differentiation factor since in Portugal excellent seafood and fish restaurants abound. My overall experience is average but frankly the dish we had was not great. Arroz de marisco was sweet, maybe the kitchen run out of real tomatoes and had to use ketchup as an ingredient. Service was average. Could be more proactive - no efforts were made to present options/suggestions. Unfortunately, El Cristo' is way overrated.

My review it will be simple.....1- El Cristo is more than a seafood restaurant....is a branch !!2- The freshness and variety of seafood is very good.3- The staff is very professional and friendly.4- Deco is cosy and trendy with a great atmosphere.5- Normally in seafood restaurants meat is not as good as the rest of menu.....but in this place the meat is just amazingly good....the " prego" is just the best I ever eat....the meat just melt in your mouth.6- Value for money.....Oh yes !!! Do I recommend? Absolutely !!! Hummm im hungry now....A king crab from Bering Sea....Please !!!!p.s.- Weekends or any Bank holidays i advise to book a table or else you probably have to wait....3 to 4 hours for a table !!! Is that good
