Nick's Family - Elyria

My pop was flat. I said I didn't want it but no I still was charged For It The ham was such so thin, it was ridiculous. The grits had a weird taste to it, the food was terrible service was terrible, why should you be charged for something when the pop is wet? Well, you said you didn't want to trade it out for anything else? Well, no cause I didn't want anything else.

I wasn't very impressed at all. The food wasn't good. Eggs wasn't cooked the bacon was crispy a little to crispy. But the toast was good. Hard to screw that up. I will not be back. Just overall not a good experience!

Cozy little diner with great prices and a no-frills atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious overall, though the pancakes were similar to those from McDonald's.

First time to visit Nicks...I decided on the cheese steak but they didn't have the bread...but food was ok...server wad nice...may try them again...

Our waiter was very pleasant, which is about the only positive aspect of our experience. Unfortunately, the food was quite poor. We visited early in the morning and were the only patrons besides an older white man who I assume was the owner. His behavior was a significant issue for me. He began making wildly inappropriate and borderline racist comments towards my husband, and he also berated the poor waiter for accidentally dropping a plate. While the waiter was doing his best, this man just sat there, belittling him and even threatened to dock his pay for any mistakes. We will not be returning, and I will certainly advise others to steer clear of this establishment. I did give the waiter an extra tip—he deserved it.
