Bidra med feedbackThe seafood platter was disappointing. The roll was soggy from being soaked in water, and the fries were also drenched. The shrimp had a sour taste to the filling, and the scallops appeared to be microwaved. Having worked in restaurants for over 20 years, I can confidently say I won't be returning. I'm just hoping I don't end up with food poisoning.
Fresh and fast service! Light-batters and big rackets! Fries needed salt sprinkled after frying, but simply added at home after they extra crispy at home.
There is a new owner and he is fantastic and friendly, unlike the last owner, his prices are very reasonable, and very fresh large scent of seafood and even a section from different sides!
In my opinion, these mussels seemed so old that they were on the verge of spoiling. They had a really unpleasant smell and taste. Honestly, they should have been thrown out days ago rather than served to customers. I’d be surprised if they still attract customers for mussels again. Even if they were edible, I wouldn't think they were worth nearly $20. The meal also came with coleslaw, which looked equally old, and I was too wary to even try it. Ultimately, it all went in the garbage.
This review is for Boston Seafood, formerly known as Steve's. I inquired with a manager about the size of the whole bellies priced at $18.99 for lunch, and he mentioned they were medium. However, I found them to be quite small and overly breaded. Additionally, I was disappointed to receive my takeout in a heavy Styrofoam container along with a plastic bag. This packaging isn't sustainable.
