Bangalore Express - Enfield

I was looking for a good Indian restaurant in London and came across this one. I was excited when I saw the name, as it reminded me of my hometown Bangalore. However, I was disappointed with the food. The vegetarian dishes we ordered were bland and lacked flavor. I left the restaurant feeling unsatisfied and let down. They should either improve the quality of their food or consider changing the restaurant name to better reflect the customer's expectations.

Seating is comfortable although table of two is tight especially when ordering a few dishes. Food was great, good range of north South Indian food. Taste was great, chilli Paneer, okra fries were a highlight! Reasonable pricing and good service therefore definitely would recommend!

Quick service. Excellent food with wonderful Indian spices. Wide variety menu with something for everyone including menu option for those who haven't eaten much Indian food before but also a robust and extremely tasty menu for others.

Let's start out by saying Indian food in the UK is much spicier than in the US. I was reminded of this by my Indian friends and they were sport on. I find it hard to admit, but yes, I am one of those Americanized...eaters that prefers the US version of Indian food. The Tikki Masala was good but spicy. If you like hot you will enjoy it. I enjoy US hot if that makes any sense at all. Veggie Samosas were yummy as well as the Spinach and Potatoes. If you enjoy Indian food this is a good spot especially for those staying at the Park Plaza County Hall (right around the corner) Simply order more King Fisher and worries of spicy go away!

We had a great experience at this restaurant. It took us some time to locate it, but it was definitely worth the search. The food was fantastic; the mixed grill starter was succulent, and the Bangalore summer cocktail was unique but delicious. I tried the no bread chicken tikka for my main dish, and it was also very flavorful. The service was quick and the waitstaff were very friendly. Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience.
