Bidra med feedbackWe had a wonderful dining experience at this bar on Saturday evening. The food was well-cooked and served promptly, with attentive staff who were eager to assist in any way possible. Both the bar and tables were clean and well-maintained. The prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food. However, the 90-minute rule for seating did put a damper on our overall enjoyment.
We ate here in Tailor Quigleys 3 times during our 3 night stay in the Auburn Lodge Hotel. Each time the food was delicious. We had dinner on 2 nights and my wife and I were more than pleased with the food . We ate from the carvery one afternoon. And again the food was fab albeit the portion was a bit on the small side. The only thing that we didn't like was the attitude of the manager . We were gobsmacked at his attitude to us. He had never met us before but sneary remarks from a hotel manager is not what we expected. Its like banter among friends If this is his attempt at humour. I think he should give it a miss from now on . . It may get him in trouble with a less easy going customer. We generally had comfortable , enjoyable meals in Taylor Quigleys. But as the old saying goes . There's always one.
This traditional bar is adorned with plenty of wood and mahogany. The spacious bar area is divided into smaller sections, creating a more intimate atmosphere. There is a huge fireplace with a small gas fire. The food was delicious and the pints were excellent. The barman was very friendly.
The food was mediocre at best. The service was disappointingly slow, even though the restaurant didn't appear to be very busy. We had to wait a long time to receive a menu, have our plates cleared, and get a dessert menu. On the bright side, our food arrived promptly after ordering.
There are three restaurants at the Auburn Lodge. Taylor Quigley's is one of them and gives you the option of snacks.
