Mehanata was absolutely amazing! The mixed grill was perfect. You can tell everything is made with so much love. The ambiance is so cozy and traditional. It feels like you teleported to Bulgaria and you feel right at home. And, the service is exceptional. The entire staff and our server, Ivo, made our experience unforgettable. Visiting Chicagoland and wanting to try Bulgarian food, we came here, and are so glad we did. The menu is huge, so we asked our waiter Ivo for suggestions. He asked us what we like and came through with great ideas. From the Bulgarian beer, to the fried cheese with jam starter, to the combo grill and ending with the fig cake, everything was excellent. Just an all around fantastic experience.
