Island View Waterfront Cafe - Essex

I wanted to do something different than all the tourist traps. So, we've stuffed 5 of us in a middle car and drove out. Since I've chosen them, I've been worried that my customers would think it was worth the effort. It was a Monday night and we arrived at 7:00. You weren't too busy, so I was still worried. Rachel was our server. They advised they were known for their crab cakes and they could be added to every dinner. Two of us took their advice. I had the Pesto salmon with the crab cake. I can tell you the others were jealous and wished they had the crab cake. Now were the dinners they had, and my salmon. I live in Idaho, so we don't have crabcakes everywhere when I come to Baltimore, I always order crabcake, so I had them in some different places and I have to say this is one of the best. If you go there, don't make her mistake and don't get one. It's not a beautiful place, but it's a place where it looks like locals bring their families. After dinner we had dessert, I had the keys limecake and OMG I could bathe in it because it was so good. We also had another dessert that was a local favorite, I'm sorry I don't remember the name, but it was also excellent. The exit led us about 45 minutes back approx. 30 and every minute. I would bring other people there

We arrived with sailboat and easily docked at the doping. Honored by several employees and was immediately sitting on the outside deck with a fantastic view of Chesapeake Bay. The food was fresh and delicious. Eating perfectly cooked and servings were great. I would recommend Island View Waterfront Cafe.

Very good food I had the soft crab plate and they were fresh melt well in your mouth

The location, food/drinks and staff are excellent. The only thing I had was disappointed was the Grouper Bites. WAY overpriced Mrs. Paul's fish sticks IMO.

I had breakfast there for the first time, and it was scrumptious. The view is stunning, so be sure to sit outside and savor it with your coffee.
