Nicky's Steakhouse - ESTES PARK

We celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary, and the restaurant made the evening truly special.

Nicky's offered a fantastic atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service.

Nicky's was quite overwhelmed during Valentine's weekend. The servers put in a great effort, but the kitchen struggled to keep up, leading to a roughly hour-long wait for our food. While we did receive complimentary drinks for the delay, the owners were very friendly and accommodating; unfortunately, the restaurant just wasn't prepared for such a large crowd. To be fair, I've been visiting Estes every President's Day weekend for the past 20 years, and I’ve never seen such a massive turnout—it felt like there were twice as many people as usual. My filet was cooked to perfection, and most of the dishes at our table were also excellent, though the trout was a bit dry. The ambiance was lovely with a piano and a cozy fireplace. We'll definitely return, as we always do.

Thanksgiving dinner was nothing fantastic. Seems like they didn’t anticipate the amount of food they would need and some of what was advertised was not available.

Food was amazing but the price for the buffet was outrageous. I was told it would be $28/per person and it ended up being $40/per person without tip. I was not happy.
