Bidra med feedbackIn Studs Terkel's book of interviews, "Working", a waitress explained her focus on providing quiet table service: "Some don't care. When the plate is down you can hear the sound. I try not to have that sound." During our recent visit to Seize The Cafe, the waitstaff managed to maintain a peaceful atmosphere at the tables. However, the rest of the staff created a consistently noisy environment, making it difficult for diners to converse. The noise level at Seize The Cafe was far louder than a busy Olive Garden or Mazzi's. It seems possible that the owner may have hearing impairment. It would be beneficial if a drive-through takeout window were installed for their delicious food. Their spacious parking lot could offer a great location for a relaxing meal and conversation. Consider bringing your own trays and extra napkins.
Chad is absolutely incredible. The people of Eugene are incredibly lucky that he decided to bring his talents to our town, giving us the best restaurant since Brendan closed Belly years ago. Thank you Chad! Please stay with us for a long time!
Great coffee, light breakfast spot. Homemade pastries (apple cider donuts were delish). Love to support local businesses doing great things!
We read the ratings of top lunch places in Eugene and Sieze the Cafe was #1 and they have certainly earned that rating. We had super good sandwiches, even ordered second ones to takes home for the husbands. The potato salad was absolutely perfect. Portions were hefty. Good service, lots of widows, roomy seating. It's just a really nice place to go. Enjoyable.
What a gem! After visiting for lunch on several occasions and loving the smaller plates I had tried I finally made it back in for dinner and was blown away. This is truly gourmet food at prices that are beyond generous. The atmosphere is casual and unimposing which is refreshing. The crew really takes pride in the business and the food that they offer. Give them some love!
