Delicious Metropolis coffee; welcoming staff. Sunny, clean. Long counter along this corner storefront's windows. Counter height seats or outdoor wooden picnic tables. Very clean. No wifi, limited hours (minus 1 star for that). A good place to read, write, or people watch.

Great little spot to chat and get amazing espresso! Love that there is no WiFi. I got the metropolis espresso, twice! The owner gave me a second one on the house on a different grind setting to taste the difference. Really nice of him and outstanding service for fellow espresso lover!

My first time here and I enjoyed the coffee. Customer service was great. I tried the Drip coffee and it was very good. The friendly staff really helps for the first timers. Made the experience alot smooth than other place. Looking forward to having more coffee.

If I could give this place more stars I would. I LOVED it!!! It is the perfect stop-in coffee shop, clean, well-lighted, well-organized. The barista was friendly, called out 'hi ' as I entered, but not overbearing. The latte was superb, the flavor of the coffee excellent and not masked by the milk. I wish I lived in Chicago. I would go here everyday. Two or three times a day. I would probably live here. Ok, maybe it 's better I can only visit on vacation.

Not only great tasting coffee, but also a nice, sunny location. Very friendly staff. I can count on quick service if I'm in a hurry, or relax and enjoy watching the world pass by if I'm not. All seats face the windows but there are only stools inside. The counters are deep enough for laptops, textbooks, etc. however. Chairs and tables outdoors when weather permits.
