Yumi Japanese Restaurant Bar Excelsior

The menu is overpriced for sushi. I've got just salmon and tuna rolls, but I had more rice than fish. The server forgot about our appetizer, the selection of food is really small. They have specials rolls that many other guests choose to order but I didn't find anything that I like. Left hungry as I had 90% of food untouched. Well, my hungry husband had no desire to go to another place, so he finished that food.

Best sushi in the Midwest! I absolutely love this place and it?s my go-to for company and anyone who appreciates quality sushi. Pricey compared to most places in the area, but so worth it! Thanks for all the years of quality sushi, Yumis!

Perfection except that the waiter forgot our edamame. He didn't bill us for it, but also never brought it. Everything else was top notch.

I?m always impressed going to Yumi?s! Always try the specials! This hot spot has literally changed Excelsior everyone loves sushi now! What a fantastic addition to this town. I?ve been coming to Yumi?s every time I?m in town and went tonight. We had the Tuna Crispy Rice appetizer with a Tonka Roll and K Pop roll that was a special for the night. I?m an avid sushi lover, and my dad is a newbie, but we both absolutely loved the meal. Can?t go wrong with what you order!

My husband and I went tried out their maki sushi because we heard great things about them. First, their rolls are very thick and fills your mouth completely. I very much enjoyed the feeling, although you can ask for thinner slices if you want. So far, I have been here twice and really enjoyed their maki rolls.
