Bidra med feedbackMantarays is without a doubt the best hotel in Exmouth, unfortunately that doesn't mean much, as most of the accomodation in Exmouth is made up of caravan
We had a lovely dinner here Perfect view Great service - we have some food requirements and the waiter triple checked things for us.
We came for lunch, unfortunately the Club Accor benefits are not accepted for Friday or Saturday.
We were staying at Mantarays, so decided to eat at the restaurant on our first night. It looks lovely, but unfortunately the food is sub par for what they ask for it. The curry was OK, but we had to send the papadum back as it had not been cooked properly. The fish and chips were OK, but again, terribly overpriced. Only pub standards but for restaurant prices. And the wait staff weren't very knowledgeable, easy to understand or attentive. Much nicer places to eat in Exmouth that are better value for money. Unfortunately, the fact that Mantarays is so far from the town means you get stuck here if you want to drink rather than drive.
We lunched at Mantarays at the recommendation of a local - and she was right. The restaurant looks out over the beautiful aqua hues of Exmouth Gulf, a truly lovely lunchtime setting. We enjoyed a delicious fish & chips as well as a beef and pear salad, finishing up with a lemon meringue pie. All were quite delectable - but the serving sizes were only subtle - to put it politely! The pictured lemon pie, for example, was priced at $19 so we were quite surprised when it was served in a standard drinking glass. The lemon curd, to be fair, was superb but we both would have appreciated more than just a bite to savour the beautiful tartness of the curd. Pity!
