Awesome service and good old American diner food!!. Don't be fooled by a lot of the negative reviews on here. This little treasure is a good place to go eat and I'd never personally compare anything to Denny's as everything is far superior to that festering pile of ****. I say that because I've never had a good time there, the service is absolutely horrible and the food is nearly tasteless. Now on to my Review I moved to Fairbanks in November and have tried many different Restaurants in the area. I personally like Airport Family Restaurant. It's a good atmosphere yes it smells like smoke but get over it people smoke if you don't like it then don't go but It's not bad just be a little more tolerant. I've never eaten anything bad tasting there most of the selection is pretty good and i find it reasonably priced except some of the dinners. I like to go with friends and have some coffee I've been there mostly evenings and late nights. I've always had good service The best Host there in my opinion is named Daryl she is motherly and like your best friend it is because of her honestly that I really love the place. I've been to Gambardella's and they've everytime managed to ruin my dinners, not use manners. They are not friendly and I've had hosts give me back my tip which is the worst thing you can do and others have had the same experience it's also really expensive for nothing. I'm telling you give this place a chance its got good old american diner food which is nice and good people to talk to. I've had dinner and/or coffee and have had other people talk to me and start chatting other than the waitstaff which is awesome. It really makes a difference when you can enjoy a nice meal with friends and have such a friendly and wonderful atmosphere. Just please be more tolerant if you give things a chance it's not so bad everyone's different and you should accept that I use to smoke I quit and I don't like being around it but I'm not going to judge or hate someone because they smoke around me. Golden rule please. So honestly it's a good place to go in my opinion but go when Daryl is there and you'll see why I love this place. I hope personally that your venture here is as wonderful experience as when I'm there. Remember experiencing things for yourself is good. This places rating isn't that good but its a good place. This is the only place in town I've been treated with respect and love the wait staff and also have givin such nice tips.
