Bidra med feedbackI placed a pick-up order and arrived a bit early, so I sat in my car waiting for my food. While I was waiting, I noticed a woman park her car in two spaces in the adjacent Bridgewater Hotel lot and then enter Salty's instead of the hotel. I have little tolerance for that kind of entitlement, so I went over to inform the hotel staff, hoping they would handle the situation. As I was heading back to get my food, a front desk employee followed me to ask the woman to move her car. At this point, the owner came out while I was still waiting for my order. It seemed the hostess mistook the situation and thought it was the owner's car that needed to be moved. I stepped in to clarify that it wasn’t hers. Rather than addressing the situation calmly, the owner became confrontational with the hotel staff member, who was only trying to help. She complained about how their guests always take their spots and didn’t show any appreciation for the assistance. The owner then stormed off in a very childish manner, and I made the decision to cancel my order. This is especially disappointing because I used to visit frequently for the good food and often brought large groups for events or recommended it to clients seeking great dining options. If the owner were to reach out and apologize to the hotel staff member, I might reconsider and return as a customer. However, I cannot support a business with an owner who reacts in such an angry and aggressive manner toward strangers.
I tried the tacos, and they were decent. The guacamole, however, was outstanding! The restaurant could benefit from being a bit cleaner and could use some touch-ups on the wall paint.
We enjoyed delicious food during our visit, although the service was a bit slow. As someone with celiac disease, I was pleased with the gluten-free options available. Thank you! Dietary restrictions: Gluten-Free/Celiac Disease.
We’ve been plenty of times for drinks, apps, and dinner and had mixed experiences, but overall good. Today we went for brunch, and based on this experience, I would never come back for brunch, ever. Food was verrrrry disappointing. I ordered chicken and waffles and was extremely underwhelmed, waffle was plain and came with regular plain old, dry, small frozen chicken strips you might order when you’re drunk(my partner said he would’ve sent them back ; I thought they’d be homemade chicken or at least bigger, juicier pieces of chicken. Not worth $16; I could definitely have made this dish 57x better at home for 1/10th of the price. Partner ordered grits and they were so bland with very little toppings and flavor; almost no cheese, a sprinkle of sausage, and no seasoning. We both agree that both of these items should either be removed from the menu or improved with substantially better ingredients and actual flavor; my partner described them as “disgraceful,” especially with thepotential they could have.We were more disappointed by this meal because we’ve had generally good experiences here, and this brunch experience sadly taints our overall view of the establishment.(Rating for this meal alone would be less than 3 stars, but set at 3 based on this experience and previous experiences.
Food is really good. Have had good and bad service in the restaurant. But, I wouldn 't order take out. They are 3 for 3 on leaving something off my order and their portions are significantly smaller for take out. Recommended tip 's are a bit high for a take order imho.
