Bidra med feedbackDecor inside is tasteful and great representation of pieces of Alaska history. Our waitress was energetic and great with menu item suggestions for our large group. Food is tasty, seafood are fresh and well seasoned. Unfortunately I left my headphones behind at the restaurant and didn’t realize until thousand miles away. Patty who answered my call was quick to locate my missing item and quickly arranged the shipment back to me. Really appreciate her help! I have visited The Pump House on both trip to Fairbanks with good memories. Will definitely visit again next time in Fairbanks!
Of us visited on Saturday night. Reservation is a must. Very good ambiance. Service is great. Price is reasonable. Quality of food is just okay. Deep fried items are not recommended because the oil seems to be old and the deep fried items are dark in color. Mr. Water boy has excellent attitude but need some training on how to pour water. He tends to over poured and the floor is always wet. Other than that, it was a great visit.
Enjoyable atmosphere, interesting decor, friendly friendly staff. My wife and I went there are final night of vacation to enjoy some dessert. I got the peanut butter chocolate cake thing in my wife got something with mint chocolate if I remember correctly. The desserts were tasty, not amazing, they need a little bit more flavor. But they were definitely good. The restaurant is right on the river and provide excellent views. They also have a beautiful garden full of flowers.
Went there with my family last year. So now we go back without a reservation in Sept. It was just before dinner hour. ALL the tables were empty. We were told minute wait. Why didn't they explain why the wait was so long when there so many empty tables in plain sight. It just seems rude to just say you have to wait when the place is empty.. Just thinking about this makes me so angry, it leads me to believe that we were turned down for personal reasons. Under these circumstances you wonder what the real reason is for turning us away from a practically empty restaurant. Who knows? . Reading previous reviews from other patrons, I note that this place did this before. Dare I say preferential treatment for some people. Don't go there. Not worth the wait or the attitude. Tourist trap. Will never go back.... and I will tell my travel friends about this. Instead, we had a great halibut and king crab dinner in the restaurant in our hotel. Who needs a touristy, crowded hectic place? The owners never reached out to offer a polite explanation. Screw them.
We had dinner here, as another recommendation for places to eat in Fairbanks. Reservations are a must as it does get pretty busy. Location was not too far, I loved their decor, which consisted of vintage pieces suspended from the roof. Food was very good, my nephew swears by the steak. Their mashed potatoes were really good, like home made, potatoes were well seasoned. The blackened salmon with the risotto was exceptional. Good sized portions for the money. Staff was very nice helpful with other food recommendations also. For sure worth a return visit.
